Welcome back to a new post!
I am VERY excited for this one as it is my first DIY project and I couldn’t be more ecstatic!
Let’s begin with the story of these jeans…
Two February’s ago, I had the pleasure of collaborating with four other Orlando bloggers for a Valentine’s post and decided to DIY a pair of jeans to create something different. I bought some pieces of red cloth from Walmart, traced big hearts with a pencil and cut it and hot glued it to the pair of jeans.
Two years later, I had those amazing jeans sitting in my closet and decided it was time to take them out for a spin and re-create them. I decided to buy some pom-poms and stickers and hot glued them to the jeans (I’m not a fan of sewing as you can tell lol!). This has been my favorite Valentine’s look because it truly defines my style!
Here are the materials to create your perfect
DIY Valentine/Galentine jeans:
- Grab a pair of old jeans and lay them flat
- Trace the fabric with the pencil and create a heart
- Cut the heart pattern
- Place the hearts where you want them and then glue them
- Add some flair! Use pom poms, stickers, glitter, whatever defines YOUR style!
- Wait for all of your adornments to stick one you glue the materials
- Rock your jeans!
Whether you are spending Valentine’s with your significant other, with a group of friends or your family, these jeans are perfect for any and every occasion. I created two looks to wear from day to night! The question is,
where would you wear them to?
I hope you truly enjoy Valentine’s day and if you are single, please take the time to enjoy your singleness; I know I am! Yes, it’s another year single for me, but I am loved and at the end, isn’t that what truly matters? I know the day will come where I will have the love from my other half, but now? Enjoy the chocolates your mom gives you and the girls’ night out, don’t take them for granted! And if you’re not single? Enjoy this holiday with your loved one and even if your other half thinks it’s “corny”, don’t stop loving something just because your partner doesn’t agree with it, compromise as that is what being in a relationship is all about!
